AMA Across Iowa - Ames LuncheonAMA Across Iowa is an initiative sparked by community feedback. We’re hitting the road to connect with marketers in local communities, share fresh insights, and spark new conversations. Whether you're just starting on your marketing career path, experienced marketer, or want to be part of a larger team, this series is your opportunity to rediscover what connects us. Presentation: Ethical Boundaries for AI in Marketing PracticeEvent Sponsored By:Marketing teams make AI decisions by answering three questions that are easily collapsed into one. What can the technology do reliably? What do law, platform policy, and client contracts permit? And what will customers and employees accept? These are the implementation, institutional, and normative boundaries of AI use, and the gap between them accounts for most marketing missteps. Mike Howard applies the framework to generative content, synthetic voice and likeness, personalization, and automated customer engagement, with emphasis on locating each boundary inside a particular organization rather than in the abstract. Attendees will leave with a method for assessing a live AI project, a basis for judging which boundary actually constrains it, and language for raising ethical questions with clients and leadership in commercial terms.
